Is for patients who have active periodontal treatment. It is part of the ongoing treatment for Periodontitis, which is a chronic and non-curable bacterial infection. The objective is to keep the disease under control. It is provided every 3-4 months.
If you have “pockets” deeper than 6 mm you need to see a Periodontist. Periodontitis has been proven to be a risk factor for Atherosclerosis, Heart disease, Kidney failure and many other serious conditions.
